We are Bridge 19

After playing in other bands, releasing solo albums, and playing together as “Amanda Lucas and Audrey Cecil” since December of 2007, we are excited to announce that we are, Bridge 19.

The name. I’ve always hated my name. There are way too many Amanda’s in the world, BUT imagine if my parents had changed my name at 4 years old? That’s basically what we are doing. After playing together for 4 years as ALAC, we know Bridge 19 is going to take some getting used to, so we are going to leave up all of our ALAC web presence until January 1 to help with the transition. After January 1, all of our ALAC web presence will disappear, and our Bridge 19 site will become a FULL site.

Why Bridge 19? We wanted our name to be meaningful and we agreed that the most important moment for us was our first show together at “Bearno’s by the Bridge” December 2007 (12+7=19)

What’s next? We go into the studio for pre-production on September 16. On September 22 and 23 we will lay down bass and drum tracks. If all goes according to plan, we will release our first album as a duo in the spring of 2012.
